Morrigan’s Irish Coffee&Pub

Oradea is considered one of the coolest cities in Eastern Europe by both the young and the not-so-young for many reasons. The Crișul Repede River, which flows through it not only provides aesthetic points for it, but can also be a destination for a picnic or just a simple outing. There are many places throughout the city where one can spend an afternoon, evening, or even the whole day. Those who want to get a little adventurous and are not afraid to explore some of the smaller streets may also stumble upon some hidden gems, such as a peaceful café terrace away from the noise of busy modern life.

One can find many five-star restaurants scattered around the city, but there are also plenty of cheap but quality diners for those whose pockets are a bit lighter. There is even an internet café, where video game and e-sports enthusiasts of all ages can play together and indulge in their hobbies. This all sounds nice, but the picture wouldn’t be complete without the city’s nightlife, which is usually most prominent around the Black Eagle Palace, located in the heart of the city and where, by total accident, most of the nightclubs happen to be located.

However, if you want to have a beer with your friends, but don’t want to go to an ordinary pub or an expensive nightclub, Morrigan’s Irish Coffee&Pub, or Morrigan’s for short offers a unique experience in more than one way. The leprechauns have brought authentic Irish beers (like Guinness) and somewhat strong but delicious cocktails straight from Ireland, many of which have funny names (like Pint of No Return) or names that refer to Ireland (like Window to Dublin). There’s nothing quite like a cold pint on the terrace on hot summer days and indoors on cold winter nights. The atmosphere is set by some of the greatest rock hits from the 80s and 90s. The menu comes in the form of a newspaper and includes jokes and wisecracks alongside the food and drinks. The waiters and the bar staff are friendly and even offer drink or cocktail recommendations to those who are not afraid of anything. Thanks to its central location, Morrigan's is a focal point of the city's nightlife, a place not only to start the evening but also to top it off if you don't want to spend the whole night at a single place.
